I received an email bringing up the fact that this site looks bad in IE6. I am aware of this and would like to fix it soon. However, since I have a lot on my plate, at the moment, I'll put it on the back burner. (I consider it a feat when I actually post something here.)
This isn't my typical approach to CSS for commercial/client work, though. I just don't have as much time to devote to my personal site as I'd like. Right now, I just don't support IE6 and, for once, I get a certain amount of satisfaction from that.
So, there you have it. This is one site that I don't have to shake my fist in Redmond's direction.

I can second this. Eric always does a great job of making sure things work in IE 6 and 7 (as well as FF, etc).
Awww, thanks, John.
display: hug; It's not that IE6 bugs are hard to get around, really. It's just that, for more progressive or experimental things, it's a bear to support in IE6 (position:fixed, etc).
Considering how difficult it is for IE6 to get basic items correct (floats, padding, and so on), it certainly makes IE look half-baked on the new-fangled stuff. Yes, I realize that other browsers have been updated many times over versus IE6's updates, but I relish the day when we don't have to support IE6 at all.
Of course, it has been noted that IE7 has two different versions for Vista and XP. I've wondered if Microsoft has some internal requirement stating that they always have to have 2-3 different browsers out at any given time.
Only time will tell.
Eric and John,
I would like to politely correct you both on your misjudgments of Microsoft.
1) Our goal is really to have 2-3 FAILING browsers active at one time.
2) IE does not in fact, have anything to do with 'dying'. In reality, it stands for 'Inevitable Extinction'.
I hope you have a pleasant time hacking your way through the IE forest with a giant masheti.
Forever Haunting You,
Bill Gates
Thanks for clearing that up, Bill.
Folks, that just goes to show you. You can have a massive amount of money and still have poor spelling skills (masheti -> machete).
Couldn't Bill just give back to us in his old age?
